HAPPY NEW YEAR!
OMG – where did those 2 months go!! We are in February and by the end of next week in March – its crazy how time flies when you are having fun.
We have had a great summer here in the Museum. Although our numbers weren’t quite the same as January 2023 (being an island will do that) we have surpassed February 2023 already and we are still quite steady with visitor numbers.
We have been working behind the scenes on our next two exhibitions – ANZAC & the Timeline and yesterday we closed off the Camping exhibition ready for painting. ANZAC will be open 4th April and the timeline exhibition later in the year.
Our extended hours will cease from Monday 1st April – so closed Sunday’s and closing at 3pm instead of 4pm.
Do you know anyone who would like to join our volunteer team??
We currently have a space on a Thursday afternoon for front of house. So tap someone on the shoulder or keep your ear open for anyone interested and lets see if we can fill this spot!
I will be on leave from 10th – 14th March. I will be attending the Museums Aotearoa Leaders Summit in Wellington and of course visiting all the Museums while I’m there.
Have a great month Becs
